Leave your car in the station area, you are a 2-minute walk from one of the main gates of the city: Porta San Pietro, from here the choices are many, you can take a rental bike and go around the walls (5 about km) or do it on foot, there are plenty of places to stop for a coffee and you can admire the botanical garden from above. I always suggest getting lost in the narrow streets of the center, setting out to discover the city without a precise destination, via Fillungo with its shops, the Guinigi tower (if you don’t suffer from vertigo) and Piazza dell’anfiteatro are obviously worth seeing. Lucca is 1 hour and 10 minutes by car from our hotel.
